What Some Social Networking Newbies Just Don't Get

First let me say that the number one product anyone is able to sell on social media is themselves.
You have to build credibility and let people get to know you. And this my friend takes time and effort
but none of your upline seems to be saying anything about this. Social networking isn't about adding people to
a list, its about YOU being added to theirs. I'm a member of a lot of social networking sites and I can't believe
people are getting trained to spam peoples comment boxes. When it happens to me, I delight in blocking them. Bottom line
is, if you really want to build traffic to your site or blog using social networking, get to know people first, let them
get to know you too. Try once in awhile posting something of value, at least that way if you have something worth selling
those people may well become your greatest evangelists for your product.

The key to success in social marketing is not having a huge number of friends/fans/and followers on social media. If people or
fellow bloggers are not able to really get to know you, build a more personal relationship with you, know who you are and what you
represent on and off your blog, a large part of social networking is missing. Its not about the numbers, its about the personal connection
that is built over time. Everyone has something to offer in the networking game and those that misuse the concept are really the ones that
lose out in the long run. Trust and credibility will always win out over lists and flash, you can build the biggest list in history but its
useless if they don't trust you.
